In light of recent events, the Cloudscape board would like to state what should be obvious: that we support every cartoonist’s right to draw cartoons without fear of violent consequences. Whether that cartoonist is in France facing terrorist attack, in Syria facing imprisonment and possible execution, or in Indonesia facing government censorship, the pen should never be silenced and the only acceptable weapon against the use of free speech should be an equal use of free speech.
