Her experimental multi-linear webcomic Flock was featured in Cloudscape’s art shows at the Cultch and Ayden Gallery, and she recently participated in the Comics In Transit project with an original work about going geocaching in her hometown. Alison has shown her manga-influenced artwork in galleries such as the Nikkei Cultural Museum, HOT ART Wet City, and Leanna Lin’s Wonderland in LA, and she has also worked on children’s book illustration, book covers, children’s apps and more. Bevan is heavily involved in Cloudscape on numerous levels, previously serving as the Media Manager and as a frequent editor and writer for various books. James Lloyd has been drawing in Vancouver for twenty years plus, whether it’s been for local animation companies, the comic biz in LA, or his own independent works and gallery pieces. In 2000 he began penciling the Futurama title for Matt Groening’s Bongo comic company and has been the regular artist on the book ever since. In 2008, the collected Simpsons/ Futurama Crossover Crisis storyline, for which James provided the art, was collected by Abrams Art in a deluxe format and became a bestseller. Recently James has been developing projects for First Second Books and Boom! Comics.

Janice Liu is a kids’ comic artist who has worked with children for 10 years. Her graphic novel with Naomi Cui, Chicken Soup & Goji Berries 中药鸡汤, was a 2020 Excellence in Graphic Literature Award finalist, and a Gene Day Award nominee. Janice’s all-ages comics use fantasy and the supernatural to explore loss, desire, and Chinese diasporic identity. Gurukitty Studios is the brainchild of twin sisters Jeri (Kitty) and Jayleen (Guru). Based in Vancouver, they began making comics in 1997, and have published three anthologies, Ghost Tales, Once Upon A Time, and Gateways to Beyond. Jeri has also published an adult colouring book featuring animals and is known for beautiful watercolour illustrations of nature, dinosaurs and animals. Riley is an ideas guy who thinks he is a writer. Born in Canada in 1989, his heritage paints him as a British Isles mutt. His blood may or may not be 60% coffee as he only sleeps 5-6 hours a night. Found either working on something for Cloudscape or trying to write what his brain is showing him, Riley almost always has a pen or pencil in hand ready to write (not that you could read his penmanship). Thankfully his loving wife can somewhat understand his writing and translate it into something beautiful, creative, or even wonderful.

His graphic novel Toshiko is set during WWII and 2050: A Post-Apocalyptic Murder Mystery is a cli-fi thriller set in the ruins of a future Vancouver. A third comic, Julia, is underway.

Gurukitty Studios is the brainchild of twin sisters Jeri (Kitty) and Jayleen (Guru).
